Verl Purdy founded AgData in 1985, and through organic growth and selective acquisitions, grew the Company into the leading provider of mission critical strategic data solutions to the agricultural and animal health industries. Capitalizing on its core competencies of vertical-specific industry and technology domain expertise, it delivers real-time information with superior data extraction, management and reporting capabilities.
AgData grew from a data collection and reporting center into an industry standard for proprietary collection systems and database management and analysis. Product services lines were expanded to include marketing program administration, market research and license agreement management. AgData serves the eight largest agrochemical and seed companies in North America, collecting and analyzing over 12 million transactions annually, across distributor, retailer and wholesaler activities.
AgData was sold to SFW Capital in the first quarter of 2010.
