JAMES S. PURDY, MD

Dr. Purdy is a founding Principal in Cadrillion Capital and has a special interest in Health Care IT and Services. Dr. Purdy spent 11 years in practice as a primary care clinician, leaving that role in the mid 2000’s to join MedData.

Dr. Purdy started MedData in 1996, using his practice for beta-testing. MedData grew from a regional, web-based referral tool to the nation’s largest eligibility and real-time services company processing over 100 million transactions in ‘09. MedData was acquired by Transunion in December, 2009.

Dr. Purdy received a BS from Davidson College and an MD from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He did his internship and residency at UVA affiliated Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
